Creative work has long been more than just craft. It lives on inspiration, originality and the ability to tell stories. Artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming exactly this process at a breathtaking pace. And it's no longer just about text: whether it's images, video or music, AI gives us new ways to generate ideas and move projects forward faster.
But is AI really "creative", or is it just a useful tool in the end? In this blog article I look at what AI can already do today, where it reaches its limits and how you can use the technology in your creative workflow in the best way.
Over the past weeks and months I've experienced for myself how amazingly versatile AI can be in creative projects. I experimented with AI tools to create new visual worlds, compose surprising music and generate texts that read almost like the "real thing". It wasn't just about playing with technology. It was also about the question: how can AI help us develop fresh ideas and speed up creative processes?
With my project "Silk Beyond Reality", inspired by "Seide und Mensch" (silk and people), I show what is possible for me today: from first ideas with ChatGPT to imaginative pictures and a short video set to music. The synergy of human and machine broadened my creative view for good.

Large language models like GPT-4 from OpenAI are bursting with ideas. At the push of a button they produce texts that surprise you at first glance, both in content and in style.
- Pro: Incredibly fast at brainstorming and structured scripts.
- Con: AI texts often feel similar in style. They often lack that individual spark and that special something.
My tip: Use AI as inspiration. But don't rely on it blindly, because in the end it's your personal finishing touch that makes the text truly "yours".
2. Image design: when algorithms wield the brush
Tools like Midjourney make it possible: enter a few keywords and within seconds you get a picture that often looks amazingly professional.

What to watch out for? For a good picture you need to give precise information about what you want to see in it. Just a few keywords aren't enough after all. Also: recurring AI patterns that quickly wear thin.
Pro tip: Use different prompt wordings to create variations. Your own style only comes into play through real, manual adjustments.
3. Film and video: lights, camera, AI!
AI is changing the game in moving images too. Whether it's automated film editing, virtual avatars or real-time video effects, the range of technology is growing fast.
- Advantages: With RunwayML or Kling AI you can edit clips quickly, without expensive post-production.
- Watch out: When many creators use the same AI tools, videos quickly look too similar. Here too, a personal touch is worth its weight in gold.

4. Music: creative tracks with Suno

- Limit: Emotional depth and cultural context still come about better through the human hand
